
Arthur E. Teubner L.Ac., Founder of the Life Center for Health & Complementary Medicine began his studies in Oriental medical theory with training in Shiatsu and Acupressure-Polarity in Boston more than 40 years ago. This led to extended studies over 14 years under Masahilo Nakazono Sensei and Family, gaining much experience in Kototama methods of Japanese medicine. He has studied Chinese Herbs extensively under Dr. Ted Kaptchuk at The New England School of Acupuncture and more than 8 years studying and working with Chinese Master Dr. J Shen in New York. He continues to educate himself in the medicinal uses of Chinese and native herbs and is presently working with Qi Gong Grandmaster Dr. Hong Liu to integrate Medical Qi Gong into his Practice.
Further specialties include Acupuncture facial rejuvenation sometimes known as Acupuncture facelift, smoking cessation, drug and substance withdrawal, pain management as a response to the opioid crisis, fertility, and cancer support to name a few.
He is a Diplomate of the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncturists and member of the Kototama Institute and holds licensure in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology in both Massachusetts and Florida.
After returning to Cape Cod in 1984, he maintained a full time, year round, commitment to his practice working with individuals, children and families in improving their health through treatment and education.
Arthur continues work with Acupuncturists without borders . They deliver trauma care as part of disaster relief efforts domestically as well as around the world.
Arthur Teubner is also founder of First Light, an Organic Farm in Truro which has been the site of both a CSA and a educational non-profit organization dedicated to integrating the goals of Life Center and First Light Farm to explore and foster the health of the whole person.
Acupuncture and Oriental medical treatments are undertaken in Sarasota FL, Orleans and Provincetown in private, individual sessions, never in group or so called "community acupuncture" so that confidentiality and comfort are guaranteed in our relaxing and beautiful treatment rooms.
